If there were a song to put lipstick on to, it would be Over and Over. The act of putting lipstick on is an everyday occasion. For some it's an hourly occasion. So why not have a theme song for the deed? The song title alone gives it enough clout. There are no girl members in Hot Chip, but I'm sure these boys have had enough lipstick/lip gloss/lip balm to share with a couple of continents because The Warning (released in 2006 on the CAT label) is a definite female pleaser! Speaking of lipstick, I always wanted to be included in that cosmetic meeting where they come up with catchy names for their "to be launched" lipsticks. I'd suggest names like "Power People Purple", "Flossy Floss Pink" and my favorite "Pucker Up Biyatch Red". L'oreal should come knocking anytime now.Saturday, January 2
