John had Stayin' Alive, I have The Get Go. When presented with the scenario of "strutting" (the word looks so dorky when typed out) whether it be down the street, into the club or at some arty party you know you have a theme song of choice. In my case it's a London quintet, New Young Pony Club that has the courtesy of switching on in my brain. Their album, Fantastic Playroom (released in 2007 on the Modular label) is just that, it's a... fantastic playroom! It's like someone told them to wear leather, do the robot dance, eat sugar, embrace Madonna, play pong and then when you think you can't take anymore paint the room neon pink! Woo... what a rush. Time to ponder. What am I going to wear to that upcoming surprise party?
